Dear Friends,
My name is Rob Nagus and I am the new Hillel Director for Queen's University. I recently moved to Kingston from Toronto to oversee the day to day operations of the preeminent Hillel in Canada.
In my short time here, I have been blown away by the passion of the Queen's Jewish students, which is reflected in the quality and quantity of programming. The warmth and generosity the students, the University, and the entire Kingston Jewish community have extended to me are truly indicative a special kind of city and a special kind of student organization.
Hillel at Queen's not only plays a vital role in the Kingston community, but is also helping to foster and grow strong Jewish voices and leaders. University is a pivotal time in a young person's life not only personally, but ideologically. It is, and will continue to be, a goal of Hillel to provide dynamic and thoughtful programming where students can not only meet and socialize with their Jewish peers, but further develop their Jewish identity.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have shared their time, knowledge and donations. The resources that you have provided have been essential to our success. In order to continue to provide this high level of programming, Hillel needs and very much appreciates the continued support of people like you.
If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas regarding Hillel or Jewish campus life at Queen's; please do not hesitate to contact me.
I am very much looking forward to working together to ensure a strong and dynamic Jewish culture at Queen's University.
Warm regards,
Rob Nagus
Hillel Director, Queen's University
